Panie Jezu, Ty wybrałeś Twoich kapłanów i osoby zakonne spośród nas i wysłałeś ich, aby głosili Twoje Słowo i działali w Twoje Święte Imię. Za tak wielki dar dla Twego Kościoła przyjmij nasze uwielbienie i dziękczynienie.
Prosimy Cię, abyś napełnił ich ogniem Twojej miłości, aby ich służba ujawniała Twoją obecność w Kościele. Ponieważ są naczyniami z gliny, modlimy się, aby Twoja moc przenikała ich słabości. Nie pozwól, by w swych utrapieniach zostali zmiażdżeni. Spraw, by w wątpliwościach nigdy nie poddawali się rozpaczy, nie ulegali pokusom, by w prześladowaniach nie czuli się opuszczeni. Niech dar Maryi, Twojej Matki, dla Twojego ucznia, którego umiłowałeś, będzie darem dla każdego powołanego do Twojej służby. Spraw, aby Ta, która uformowała Ciebie na swój ludzki wizerunek, uformowała ich na Twoje boskie podobieństwo, mocą Twojego Ducha i na chwałę Boga Ojca.

ROZWAŻANIE – Sposoby obrony przed nieczystością – gorące nabożeństwo do Matki Najświętszej
„Jeżeli chcemy zachować w sobie świątynię Boga w całym blasku, to miejmy wielkie nabożeństwo do Matki Najświętszej, bo Ona jest Królową dziewic. Ona pierwsza podniosła sztandar tej niezrównanej cnoty.
I zastanówcie się, jak bardzo Bóg ceni sobie tę cnotę. Rodzi się z Matki ubogiej i nikomu nie znanej – ale czystej i świętej. Jako opiekuna przybiera sobie św. Józefa, który także kochał tę właśnie cnotę i w stopniu doskonałym choć oczywiście niższym niż jego przeczysta Oblubienica – ją posiadał.
Św. Jan Damasceński zachęca nas gorąco, żebyśmy mieli nabożeństwo do niezrównanej czystości, jaką odznacza się Matka Najświętsza, wyraźnie przy tym stwierdzając, że otrzymamy od Boga wszystko, o cokolwiek będziemy Go błagać w imię tego przywileju Dziewiczej Królowej. Ten sam Ojciec Kościoła dodaje, że cnota ta jest tak miła Aniołom, że w niebie nieustannie śpiewają: „Dziewico nad dziewicami, chwalimy Ciebie i błogosławimy Cię Matko pięknej miłości.”
Wielki sługa Maryi, św. Bernard, mówi, że więcej nawrócił dusz przez odmawianie Zdrowaś Maryjo, niż przez wszystkie swoje kazania. I mówi do nas ten Święty: Doznajecie pokus? Wzywajcie na pomoc Maryję, a z pewnością im nie ulegniecie.
Kiedy odmawiamy Zdrowaś Maryjo, całe niebo się cieszy, a piekło drży, bo przypomina sobie, że Maryja stała się w rękach Bożych narzędziem poskromienia jego wściekłych wysiłków. Dlatego właśnie ten wielki Święty tak gorąco poleca nam nabożeństwo do Matki Boskiej. Jeżeli pokocha was Matka Najświętsza, to będzie was także kochać Jej Syn, Jezus Chrystus

Impurity
Opening Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You have chosen Your priests and religious from among us and sent them to preach Your Word and to act in Your Holy Name. For such a great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving. We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their service may reveal Your presence in the Church. Since they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power may penetrate their weaknesses. Do not allow them to be crushed in their afflictions. Make it so that in doubt they never give in to despair, do not succumb to temptations, do not feel abandoned in persecutions. Inspire them in prayer, so that they may live daily the mystery of Your death and resurrection. In moments of weakness, send them Your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the power of the Holy Spirit, place your word on their lips and pour your love into their hearts, so that they may bring the Good News to the poor and healing to the downcast and desperate. May the gift of Mary, your Mother, to your beloved disciple, be a gift to everyone called to your service. Grant that she who formed you in her human image may form them in your divine likeness, by the power of your Spirit and for the glory of God the Father.
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom, guide priests and religious;

Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, make it so that priests, especially animated and strengthened by Your grace, may carry the word of truth and the blessing of peace to the whole world.

MEDITATION
Ways to defend against impurity – fervent devotion to the Holy Mother
If we wish to preserve within ourselves the temple of God in all its splendor, let us have great devotion to the Most Holy Mother, because she is the Queen of virgins. She was the first to raise the standard of this incomparable virtue.
And consider how much God values this virtue. He is born of a poor and unknown Mother – but pure and holy. He takes as his guardian St. Joseph, who also loved this very virtue and possessed it in a perfect degree, although of course lower than his most pure Spouse.
St. John Damascene fervently encourages us to have devotion to the incomparable purity that is distinguished by the Most Holy Mother, clearly stating that we will receive from God everything we will ask Him for in the name of this privilege of the Virgin Queen. The same Father of the Church adds that this virtue is so pleasing to the Angels that in heaven they continually sing: „Virgin of virgins, we praise you and bless you, Mother of beautiful love.”
The great servant of Mary, St. Bernard, says that he converted more souls by saying the Hail Mary than by all his sermons. And this Saint says to us: Are you tempted? Call upon Mary for help, and you will certainly not yield to them. When we say the Hail Mary, all heaven rejoices and hell trembles, because it remembers that Mary has become in God’s hands the instrument of restraining his furious efforts. This is why this great Saint so warmly recommends to us devotion to the Virgin Mary. If the Most Holy Mother loves you, then her Son, Jesus Christ, will love you too.
On each day of the novena, stop over the text of the meditations for a moment (approx. 10-15 minutes) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand these words. See which word has particularly moved you, which one touches your life. Think about what it means to you. The deeper you go into these meditations, the more graces will flow to you and others. Remember to try to be alone with the Lord God during this meditation. Finally, thank the Lord for what He has shown you today.
