Panie Jezu, Ty wybrałeś Twoich kapłanów i osoby zakonne spośród nas i wysłałeś ich, aby głosili Twoje Słowo i działali w Twoje Święte Imię. Za tak wielki dar dla Twego Kościoła przyjmij nasze uwielbienie i dziękczynienie. Prosimy Cię, abyś napełnił ich ogniem Twojej miłości, aby ich służba ujawniała Twoją obecność w Kościele. Ponieważ są naczyniami z gliny, modlimy się, aby Twoja moc przenikała ich słabości. Nie pozwól, by w swych utrapieniach zostali zmiażdżeni. Spraw, by w wątpliwościach nigdy nie poddawali się rozpaczy, nie ulegali pokusom, by w prześladowaniach nie czuli się opuszczeni. ROZWAŻANIE – Źródło tego grzechu
„Gdzie wziął swój początek ten obrzydliwy grzech? W niebie, wśród wspaniałych aniołów, którzy zazdrościli chwały Swojemu Stwórcy. Dla tych zbuntowanych duchów, czyli diabłów, Bóg za karę stworzył piekło. Od upadłych aniołów zazdrość przeszła na ziemię i zapuściła korzenie w raju.
Tam właśnie diabeł robił wielkie obietnice kobiecie, przyrzekał jej Boską wiedzę – i uwiódł ją, a ona skusiła męża do zjedzenia zakazanego owocu. Spisek udał się całkowicie – zły duch, który zazdrościł człowiekowi szczęścia raju, pozbawił go przyjaźni Boga i sprowadził na niego wszystkie możliwe trudy, choroby i śmierć.
Od tego czasu zazdrość zaczęła siać straszne spustoszenia na świecie. To ona była przyczyną pierwszego morderstwa. Kain zabił swojego rodzonego brata, Abla. Bo jego uczynki były złe i nie podobały się Bogu ani ludziom. Abel przeciwnie, był niewinny i miły Bogu. Jego uczynki stanowiły ciągły wyrzut dla niegodziwego Kaina, budziły w nim straszny niepokój. Dlatego w duszy Kaina lęgły się zazdrość i smutek, których nie był w stanie ukryć; na jego twarzy widać było ślady działania tych wewnętrznych tyranów. I pierwszy na świecie zbrodniarz nie znajduje spokoju, wyprowadza brata na pole, rzuca się na niego, morduje, bo myśli, że w ten sposób uciszy tego wewnętrznego robaka, który bez przerwy go gryzie. Spokoju jednak nie znalazł, a sumienie stało się jego katem, tak jak on stał się katem własnego brata (por. Rdz 4).
Również Ezawa spalała zazdrość, że błogosławieństwo ojcowskie otrzymał jego brat, Jakub. On też postanawia zgładzić brata. Biedny Jakub musiał uciekać przed gniewnym i zazdrosnym bratem do swego wuja Labana (por. Rdz 27,45).
Z tego samego powodu znienawidzony był przez swoich braci Józef, zazdrościli mu, bo Józef był dobry, a w dodatku miał sen, który przepowiadał jego przyszłe wywyższenie (por. Rdz 37).
Także Saul do końca życia z nieubłaganą zawziętością prześladuje Dawida tylko dlatego, że ten był bardziej niż on chwalony (por. 1 Sm 18, 8-9).
Ludzie złośliwi na wszystkim znajdą brud i plamę; nikt się nie ustrzeże od ich zarzutów, chociażby prowadził najbardziej święte życie. Zazdrośnicy truciznę swoich języków rozlewają wszędzie; nawet najbardziej doskonałe uczynki i cnoty bliźnich poddadzą krytyce i bezceremonialnym ocenom. Przypominają pod tym względem jadowite węże, które
w najpiękniejszych kwiatach zbierają truciznę, a zioła służące leczeniu zamieniają w swoim organizmie na śmiercionośny jad.
Ach, drodzy bracia, z jaką gorliwością trzeba się pilnować, żeby ta ślepa namiętność nie zakorzeniła się w naszym sercu! Bo kiedy raz ogarnie ona duszę, niełatwo ją stamtąd usunąć!”
W każdym dniu nowenny zatrzymaj się nad tekstem rozważań przez chwilę (ok. 10-15 min) i proś Ducha Świętego, by pomógł Ci zrozumieć te słowa; zobacz, które słowo szczególnie Cię poruszyło, które dotyka Twojego życia; zastanów się co ono dla Ciebie znaczy; im głębiej wejdziesz w te rozważania tym więcej łask spłynie na Ciebie i innych, pamiętaj byś w tym rozważaniu starał się być sam z Panem Bogiem…
Na koniec podziękuj Panu za to, co Ci dziś pokazał, o Tobie…

Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, You chose Your priests and religious from among us and sent them to preach Your Word and act in Your Holy Name. For such a great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving.
We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their service may reveal Your presence in the Church. Because they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power will penetrate their weaknesses. Do not let them be crushed in their afflictions. Make them never give in to despair in doubts, never give in to temptations, and never feel abandoned in times of persecution. Inspire them in prayer so that they may live the mystery of Your death and resurrection every day. In moments of weakness, send them Your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the power of the Holy Spirit, put Your word on their lips and pour Your love into their hearts so that they can bring the Good News to the poor and healing to the depressed and desperate. Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, make especially the priests, enlivened and strengthened by Your grace, bring the word of truth and the blessing of peace to the whole world.

CONSIDERATION – The Source of This Sin
„Where did this abominable sin begin? In heaven, among the magnificent angels who envied the glory of their Creator. For these rebellious spirits, or devils, God created hell as punishment. From the fallen angels, jealousy passed to earth and took root in paradise.
It was there that the devil made great promises to the woman, promised her Divine knowledge – and seduced her, and she tempted her husband to eat the forbidden fruit. The conspiracy was completely successful – the evil spirit who envied man the happiness of paradise, deprived him of the friendship of God and brought upon him all possible hardships, sickness and death.
Since then, jealousy has begun to wreak terrible havoc on the world. She was the cause of the first murder.
Cain killed his own brother, Abel. Because his deeds were evil and displeasing to God and to men. Abel, on the contrary, was innocent and pleasing to God. His deeds were a constant reproach to the wicked Cain, they aroused in him a terrible anxiety. That is why there was jealousy and sorrow in Cain’s soul, which he could not hide; His face showed the marks of these inner tyrants. And the first criminal in the world does not find peace, he takes his brother out into the field, throws himself at him, murders him, because he thinks that in this way he will silence this inner worm that constantly bites him. However, he did not find peace, and his conscience became his executioner, just as he became the executioner of his own brother (cf. Gen 4).
Esau was also jealous that his brother Jacob had received his father’s blessing. He also decides to kill his brother. Poor Jacob had to flee from his angry and jealous brother to his uncle Laban (cf. Gen 27:45).
For the same reason, Joseph was hated by his brothers , they envied him because Joseph was good, and in addition he had a dream that foretold his future exaltation (cf. Gen 37).
Saul, too, persecutes David with relentless ferocity for the rest of his life, simply because he was more praised than he was (por. 1 Sm 18, 8-9).
Malicious people will find dirt and stain on everything; no one can escape their accusations, even if he leads the most holy life. The jealous spill the poison of their tongues everywhere; even the most perfect deeds and virtues of their neighbors will be subjected to criticism and blunt evaluation. In this respect, they resemble venomous snakes that collect poison in the most beautiful flowers, and turn the herbs used for healing into deadly venom in their bodies.
Ah, dear brethren, with what zeal we must be careful that this blind passion does not take root in our hearts! For once it has taken hold of the soul, it is not easy to remove it!„
On each day of the novena, reflect on the text of the meditations for a moment (about 10-15 minutes) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand these words; see which word particularly touched you, which touches your life; think about what it means to you; the deeper you go into these reflections, the more graces will come to you and others, remember to try to be alone with God in this reflection…,

Prière d’ouverture
Seigneur Jésus, Tu as choisi parmi nous Tes prêtres et Tes religieux et Tu les as envoyés pour proclamer Ta Parole et agir en Ton Saint Nom. Pour un si grand cadeau à ton Église, accepte notre louange et notre action de grâces.
Nous Te demandons de les remplir du feu de Ton amour, afin que leur ministère puisse manifester Ta présence dans l’Église. Parce qu’ils sont des vases d’argile, nous prions pour que Ta puissance pénètre leurs faiblesses. Ne permets pas qu’ils soient écrasés dans leurs afflictions. Accorde que, dans le doute, ils ne cèdent jamais au désespoir, ne cèdent jamais aux tentations, afin qu’ils ne se sentent pas abandonnés dans la persécution. Inspire-les dans la prière à vivre quotidiennement le mystère de ta mort et de ta résurrection. Dans les moments de faiblesse, envoie-leur ton Esprit. Aide-les à louer ton Père céleste et à prier pour les pauvres pécheurs. Par la puissance de l’Esprit Saint, mets ta parole sur leurs lèvres et déverse ton amour dans leurs cœurs, afin qu’ils puissent apporter la Bonne Nouvelle aux pauvres et la guérison aux déprimés et aux désespérés. Que le don de Marie, ta Mère, à ton disciple que tu aimais soit un don pour tous ceux qui sont appelés à ton service. Fais que celle qui t’a formé à son image humaine les forme à ta ressemblance divine, par la puissance de ton Esprit et pour la gloire de Dieu le Père.

CONSIDÉRER – La source de ce péché
« Où a commencé cet abominable péché ? Au ciel, parmi les anges magnifiques qui enviaient la gloire de leur Créateur. Pour ces esprits rebelles, ou démons, Dieu a créé l’enfer en guise de punition. Des anges déchus, la jalousie est passée sur terre et a pris racine au paradis.
C’est là que leDiable a fait de grandes promesses à la femme, lui a promis la connaissance divine – et l’a séduite, et elle a incité son mari à manger le fruit défendu. La conspiration a été complètement réussie – l’esprit mauvais, qui enviait à l’homme le bonheur du paradis, l’a privé de l’amitié de Dieu et a attiré sur lui toutes les épreuves imaginaires, la maladie et la mort.
Depuis lors, la jalousie a commencé à faire de terribles ravages dans le monde. Elle a été la cause du premier meurtre.
Caïn a tué son propre frère, Abel. Parce que ses actions étaient mauvaises et déplaisaient à Dieu et aux hommes. Abel, au contraire, était innocent et agréable à Dieu. Ses actes étaient un reproche constant pour le méchant Caïn, ils suscitaient en lui une terrible anxiété. C’est pourquoi il y avait de la jalousie et de la tristesse dans l’âme de Caïn, qu’il ne pouvait pas cacher. Son visage montrait les marques de ces tyrans intérieurs. Et le premier criminel du monde ne trouve pas la paix, il emmène son frère dans les champs, se jette sur lui, l’assassine, parce qu’il pense qu’il fera ainsi taire ce ver intérieur qui le mord constamment. Cependant, il n’a pas trouvé la paix, et sa conscience est devenue son bourreau, tout comme il est devenu le bourreau de son propre frère (cf. Gn 4).
Ésaü était aussi jaloux que son frère Jacob ait reçu la bénédiction de son père. Il décide également de tuer son frère. Le pauvre Jacob a dû fuir son frère en colère et jaloux vers son oncle Laban (cf. Gn 27, 45).
Pour la même raison, Joseph était haï de ses frères, ils l’enviaient parce que Joseph était bon, et en plus il eut un rêve qui prédisait son exaltation future (cf. Gn 37).
Saül persécute également David avec une férocité implacable jusqu’à la fin de sa vie, uniquement parce qu’il a été plus loué qu’il ne l’a été (cf. 1 S 18, 8-9).
Les personnes malveillantes trouveront de la saleté et des taches sur tout. Aucun ne peut échapper à leurs reproches, même s’il mène la vie la plus sainte. Les jaloux répandent partout le poison de leur langue ; Même les actions et les vertus les plus parfaites de leurs voisins seront soumises à la critique et à une évaluation brutale. À cet égard, ils ressemblent à des serpents venimeux, qui collectent du poison dans les plus belles fleurs et transforment les herbes utilisées pour la guérison en venin mortel dans leur corps.
Ah, chers frères, avec quel zèle nous devons veiller à ce que cette passion aveugle ne s’enracine pas dans nos cœurs ! Car une fois qu’il s’est emparé de l’âme, il n’est pas facile de l’enlever !
Chaque jour de la neuvaine, réfléchissez un instant au texte des méditations (environ 10 à 15 minutes) et demandez à l’Esprit Saint de vous aider à comprendre ces paroles ; voyez quel mot vous a particulièrement touché, quel est celui qui touche votre vie ; pensez à ce que cela signifie pour vous ; plus vous approfondissez ces réflexions, plus les grâces couleront sur vous et sur les autres; n’oubliez pas d’essayer d’être seul avec Dieu dans cette réflexion…,

Prière de conclusion
