Panie Jezu, Ty wybrałeś Twoich kapłanów spośród nas i wysłałeś ich, aby głosili Twoje Słowo i działali w Twoje Imię. Za tak wielki dar dla Twego Kościoła przyjmij nasze uwielbienie i dziękczynienie. Prosimy Cię, abyś napełnił ich ogniem Twojej miłości, aby ich kapłaństwo ujawniało Twoją obecność w Kościele. Ponieważ są naczyniami z gliny, modlimy się, aby Twoja moc przenikała ich słabości. Nie pozwól, by w swych utrapieniach zostali zmiażdżeni. Spraw, by w wątpliwościach nigdy nie poddawali się rozpaczy, nie ulegali pokusom, by w prześladowaniach nie czuli się opuszczeni. Natchnij ich w modlitwie, aby codziennie żyli tajemnicą Twojej śmierci i zmartwychwstania. W chwilach słabości poślij im Twojego Ducha. Pomóż im wychwalać Twojego Ojca Niebieskiego i modlić się za biednych grzeszników. Mocą Ducha Świętego włóż Twoje słowo na ich usta i wlej swoją miłość w ich serca, aby nieśli Dobrą Nowinę ubogim, a przygnębionym i zrozpaczonym – uzdrowienie. Niech dar Maryi, Twojej Matki, dla Twojego ucznia, którego umiłowałeś, będzie darem dla każdego kapłana. Spraw, aby Ta, która uformowała Ciebie na swój
ludzki wizerunek, uformowała ich na Twoje boskie podobieństwo, mocą Twojego Ducha, na chwałę Boga Ojca.

Duchu Święty, Duchu Czystości, uświęcaj kapłanów;

Duchu Święty, Duchu Boży spraw, by kapłani ożywieni i umocnieni Twoją łaską, nieśli słowo
prawdy i błogosławieństwo pokoju na cały świat;
Niech ogień świętej miłości rozpala ich serca, by w płomieniach tej miłości oczyszczali i uświęcali dusze.
Duchu Święty, powierzamy Ci serca kapłańskie;

Rozważanie – Kto nas kusi ?

Nie muszę dowodzić tego, że po świecie błąkają się czarci, którzy nas kuszą. Czy wszyscy aniołowie pozostali wierni Bogu? Nie. Jakie jest zadanie tych zbuntowanych aniołów? Kuszą ludzi, chcąc ich przywieść do złego. Diabeł kusił pierwszych rodziców w raju ziemskim (por. Rdz 3,1). Namówił Kaina, żeby zabił swojego brata Abla (por. Rdz 4,8). Chodzi on po całym świecie i kusi ludzi (por. Hi 1,7). Kiedy Maria Magdalena ukorzyła się przed Chrystusem żałując za swoje grzechy, a Zbawiciel jej przebaczył, wtedy z jej ciała wyszło siedem czartów (por. Łk 8,2). Tylko z łaską Bożą jest to możliwe. Czy uciekasz się do Jego miłosierdzia w chwilach upadku? Co nas czeka, gdy sami próbujemy przeciwdziałać złym mocą? Zły duch wyrzucony z człowieka «idzie i bierze siedem innych duchów złośliwszych niż on sam; wchodzą i mieszkają tam. I stan późniejszy owego człowieka staje się gorszy niż poprzedni» (Łk 11,26). „Trzeba więc walczyć i opierać się pokusom”.

OPENING PRAYER

Lord Jesus, You chose Your priests from among us and sent them out to proclaim Your Word and act in Your Name. For such a great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving. We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their priesthood may manifest Your presence in the Church. Because they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power will penetrate their weaknesses. Do not let them be crushed in their afflictions. Grant that in doubt they may never give in to despair, never give in to temptations, so that in persecution they may not feel abandoned. Inspire them in prayer so that they may live daily the mystery of your death and resurrection. In moments of weakness, send them your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the power of the Holy Spirit, put your word on their lips and pour your love into their hearts, so that they may bring the Good News to the poor and healing to the downcast and desperate.
May the gift of Mary, your Mother, for Your disciple whom you loved, be a gift for every priest. Grant that she who formed You in her human image may form them in Your divine image, by the power of Your Spirit, to the glory of God the Father
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom, guide priests;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Light, enlighten priests;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Purity, sanctify priests;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Power, sustain priests;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, grant that priests, enlivened and strengthened by Your grace, may bring the word of truth and the blessing of peace to the whole world.
May the fire of the holy love inflame their hearts, so that in the flames of this love they may purify and sanctify their souls.
Holy Spirit, we entrust to you priestly hearts;
Shape them in the image of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Amen.

Meditation

„I do not have to prove that there are devils wandering around the world who tempt us. Did all the angels remain faithful to God? No. What is the task of these rebellious angels? They tempt people to lead them to evil. The devil tempted the first parents in an earthly paradise (cf. Ex. 3:1). He persuaded Cain to kill his brother Abel (cf. Ex. 4:8). He goes around the world and tempts people (cf. Job 1:7).
When Mary Magdalene humbled herself before Christ repenting of her sins and the Savior forgave her, seven demons had come out of her body (cf. Luke 8:2).” Only with the grace of God is this possible. Do you have recourse to His mercy in times of failure? What awaits us when we ourselves try to counteract the evil forces?
The evil spirit cast out of the man «goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.» (Luke 11:26)
