Panie Jezu Chryste, Odwieczny Kapłanie,
Zachowaj Twoje sługi, kapłanów, W zaciszu Twego Najświętszego Serca, gdzie nikt nie może ich skrzywdzić.
Zachowaj od skazy ich namaszczone dłonie, które dotykają Twego Najświętszego Ciała.
Zachowaj ich wargi w świętości O barwie Twojej Najdroższej Krwi. Zachowaj ich serca w czystości i świętości, opieczętowane wzniosłym znakiem Twojego chwalebnego Kapłaństwa.
Niech Twoja święta miłość ogarnie ich i osłoni przed duchem tego świata.
Pobłogosław ich posługę poprzez obfitość jej owoców, a dusze, którym posługują, niech będą ich radością i pocieszeniem tu na ziemi i w niebie. Po ich zwycięskiej walce Z ciemnością, szatanem i światem, Podaruj im koronę wieczystej chwały w Twoim wiekuistym królestwie..
ROZWAŻANIE
Jaka z tego wynika dla nas nauka?
„Używajmy wszystkich możliwych środków, aby nasze spowiedzi były dobre. Nie wyłudzajmy rozgrzeszenia, gdy jesteśmy w jakimś nałogu i nie mamy szczerej intencji poprawienia się. Nie odbywajmy naszych spowiedzi z pośpiechem, nie dobierajmy słów, które osłaniałyby nasze grzechy i zmniejszały ich złość. Do trybunału pokuty przystępujmy z żalem, o który trzeba gorąco błagać Boga. Gdy przez kilka lat tailiśmy grzechy, wyznajmy je czym prędzej, nie zważając na diabelskie podszepty. Nie myślmy sobie, że je później wyznamy, lub że to uczynimy przynajmniej w godzinę śmierci, bo wtedy może być za późno, bo wtedy Bóg w swoich niezbadanych wyrokach może odmówić nam łaski. Gdyby przychodziła nam chęć ukrywania grzechów, pomyślmy sobie, co powie, jakie wyrzuty czynić nam będzie na Sądzie Ostatecznym spowiednik za to, że go oszukiwaliśmy? Cokolwiek czynimy, tak czyńmy, jak byśmy to czynić pragnęli w godzinę śmierci, a nie zbłądzimy”.
„A co macie czynić, byście wytrwali w dobrym i nie wrócili już więcej do grzechu? Przede wszystkim nie ufajcie sobie samym i miejcie się na baczności. Po wtóre unikajcie jak najstaranniej okazji do złego i złego towarzystwa. Bez tego wasza poprawa będzie zwodniczą. Po trzecie uciekajcie się do modlitwy, bo Jezus Chrystus mówi: „Czuwajcie i módlcie się, abyście nie ulegli pokusie: duch w prawdzie ochoczy ale ciało słabe” (Mt 26, 41). A w końcu, gdybyście po spowiedzi na nowo zgrzeszyli, czym prędzej podnieście się z upadku. Im kto dłużej zwleka, tym trudniejsza poprawa. Kto tych środków używa, otrzyma zdrowie duchowe. Z chorób fizycznych nie zawsze wyjść można; tu często żadne lekarstwa nie pomagają. Przeciwnie z najcięższych chorób duszy można podźwignąć się i wrócić do zupełnego zdrowia”.
Zatrzymaj się nad tekstem rozważań przez chwilę (ok. 10-15 min) i proś Ducha Świętego, by pomógł Ci zrozumieć te słowa. Zobacz, które słowo szczególnie Cię poruszyło, które dotyka Twojego życia. Zastanów się, co ono dla Ciebie znaczy. Im głębiej wejdziesz w te rozważania, tym więcej łask spłynie na Ciebie i innych. Pamiętaj, byś w tym rozważaniu starał się być sam z Panem Bogiem. Na koniec podziękuj Panu za to, co Ci dziś pokazał o Tobie.
Modlimy się wraz ze świętą s. Faustyną (Dz.1485):
Dusza: Panie, lękam się, czy mi przebaczysz tak wielką liczbę grzechów, trwogą mnie napełnia moja nędza.
Jezus: Większe jest miłosierdzie Moje aniżeli nędze twoje i świata całego. Kto zmierzył dobroć Moją? Dla ciebie zstąpiłem z nieba na ziemię, dla ciebie pozwoliłem przybić się do krzyża, dla ciebie pozwoliłem otworzyć włócznią najświętsze serce swoje i otworzyłem ci źródło miłosierdzia; przychodź i czerp łaski z tego źródła naczyniem ufności. Uniżonego serca nigdy nie odrzucę, Zrób Mi przyjemność, że Mi oddasz wszystkie swe biedy i całą nędzę, a Ja cię napełnię skarbami łask.
Dusza: Zwyciężyłeś, o Panie, kamienne serce moje dobrocią swoją; oto z ufnością i pokorą zbliżam się do trybunału miłosierdzia Twego, rozgrzesz mnie sam ręką zastępcy swego. O Panie, czuję, jak spłynęła łaska i pokój w moją biedną duszę. Czuję, że mnie na wskroś ogarnęło miłosierdzie Twoje, Panie. Więcej mi przebaczyłeś, aniżeli się ośmielałam spodziewać albo pomyśleć byłam zdolna. Dobroć Twoja przewyższyła wszystkie moje pragnienia. A teraz zapraszam Cię do serca swego, przejęta wdzięcznością za tyle łask. Błądziłam jak dziecię marnotrawne po manowcach, a Tyś mi nie przestawał być Ojcem. Pomnażaj we mnie miłosierdzie Twoje, bo widzisz, jak słabą jestem.
Jezus: Dziecię, nie mów już o nędzy swojej, bo Ja już o niej nie pamiętam. Posłuchaj, dziecię Moje, co ci pragnę powiedzieć: przytul się do ran Moich i czerp ze źródła żywota wszystko, czegokolwiek serce twoje zapragnąć może. Pij pełnymi ustami ze źródła żywota, a nie ustaniesz w podróży. Patrz w blaski miłosierdzia Mojego, a nie lękaj się nieprzyjaciół swego zbawienia. Wysławiaj Moje miłosierdzie.
Chwała Ojcu i Synowi, i Duchowi Świętemu, jak była na początku, teraz i zawsze, i na wieki wieków. Amen.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
DAY NINE
Opening Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You chose Your priests and religious from among us and sent them out to proclaim Your Word and to act in Your Holy Name. For this great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving.
We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their ministry may reveal Your presence in the Church. Because they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power may penetrate their weakness. Do not allow them to be crushed in their trials. Grant that in moments of doubt they may never give in to despair, that they may not yield to temptations, and that in persecution they may not feel abandoned. Inspire them in prayer, that they may live each day the mystery of Your death and resurrection. In times of weakness, send them Your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and to pray for poor sinners.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, place Your word upon their lips and pour Your love into their hearts, so that they may bring the Good News to the poor, and healing to the sorrowful and despairing.
May the gift of Mary, Your Mother, to the disciple whom You loved, be a gift for everyone called to Your service. Grant that she who formed You in Your human likeness may form them in Your divine likeness, by the power of Your Spirit and for the glory of God the Father.
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom, guide priests and religious;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Light, enlighten priests and religious;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Purity, sanctify priests and religious;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Strength, support priests and religious;
Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, grant that especially priests, enlivened and strengthened by Your grace, may bring the word of truth and the blessing of peace to the whole world.
May the fire of holy love inflame their hearts, so that in its flames they may purify and sanctify souls.
Holy Spirit, we entrust to You the hearts of priests and religious;
Shape them in the likeness of the Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Reflection – What lesson does this give us?
“Let us use every possible means to ensure that our confessions are good. Let us not try to obtain absolution deceitfully when we remain in some addiction and do not have a sincere intention to amend our life. Let us not make our confessions in haste, nor choose words that would disguise our sins and lessen their gravity.
Let us approach the tribunal of penance with regret—something we must earnestly ask God for. If we have concealed sins for several years, let us confess them without delay, paying no attention to the devil’s suggestions. Let us not think that we will confess them later, or at least at the hour of death, for then it may be too late, and God, who works in mysterious ways, may refuse us His grace.
If we are tempted to hide our sins, let us consider what the confessor will say and what reproaches he will make to us at the Last Judgment for having deceived him. Whatever we do, let us do it as we would wish to do in the hour of death, and we shall not go astray.” “And what should you do in order to persevere in good and not return to sin again? First of all, do not trust yourselves, but remain watchful. Secondly, avoid as carefully as possible occasions of sin and bad company. Without this, your amendment will be illusory. Thirdly, turn to prayer, for Jesus Christ says: ‘Watch[a] and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41).
Finally, if after confession you fall again into sin, rise again as quickly as possible. The longer one delays, the more difficult amendment becomes. Whoever makes use of these means will regain spiritual health. From bodily illnesses one does not always recover; often no remedies help. But from even the most serious illnesses of the soul, one can rise again and return to full health.”
On each day of the novena, reflect on the text of the meditations for a moment (about 10-15 minutes) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand these words; see which word particularly touched you, which touches your life; think about what it means to you; the deeper you go into these reflections, the more graces will come to you and others, remember to try to be alone with God in this reflection…,
Finally, thank the Lord for what He has shown you today, about you…
We pray with Saint Sister Faustina (Diary 1485):
Soul: Lord, I doubt that You will pardon my numerous sins; my misery fills me with fright.
Jesus: My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world. Who can measure the extent of my goodness? For you I descended from heaven to earth; for you I allowed myself to be nailed to the cross; for you I let my Sacred Heart be pierced with a lance, thus opening wide the source of mercy for you. Come, then, with trust to draw graces from this fountain. I never reject a contrite heart. Your misery has disappeared in the depths of My mercy. Do not argue with Me about your wretchedness. You will give me pleasure if you hand over to me all your troubles and griefs. I shall heap upon you the treasures of My grace.
Soul: You have conquered, O Lord, my stony heart with Your goodness. In trust and humility I approach the tribunal of Your mercy, where You yourself absolve me by the hand of your representative. O Lord, I feel Your grace and Your peace filling my poor soul. I feel overwhelmed by Your mercy, O Lord. You forgive me, which is more than I dared to hope for or could imagine. Your goodness surpasses all my desires. And now, filled with gratitude for so many graces, I invite You to my heart. I wandered, like a prodigal child gone astray; but you did not cease to be my Father. Increase Your mercy toward me, for You see how weak I am.
Jesus: Child, speak no more of your misery; it is already forgotten. Listen, My child, to what I desire to tell you. Come close to My wounds and draw from the Fountain of Life whatever your heart desires. Drink copiously from the Fountain of Life and you will not weary on your journey. Look at the splendors of My mercy and do not fear the enemies of your salvation. Glorify My mercy.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen
