Za tak wielki dar dla Twego Kościoła przyjmij nasze uwielbienie i dziękczynienie. Prosimy Cię, abyś napełnił ich ogniem Twojej miłości, aby ich służba ujawniała Twoją obecność w Kościele. Ponieważ są naczyniami z gliny, modlimy się, aby Twoja moc przenikała ich słabości. Nie pozwól, by w swych utrapieniach zostali zmiażdżeni. ROZWAŻANIE Co mogę zrobić by pozbyć się grzechu zazdrości?
Kiedy zazdrość cię zaślepia, usuń ją ze swego serca, a polubisz przeciwnika i będziesz z nim żył tak samo, jak z innymi ludźmi.
Jako przykład nienawiści i zazdrości może posłużyć Faraon. Nie podobało mu się, że Pan Bóg błogosławił ludowi izraelskiemu, dlatego obciążał Żydów robotami. Pan Bóg przez nadzwyczajne znaki i cuda chciał skruszyć zaślepionego i zatwardziałego Faraona. Kiedy na koniec wszyscy pierworodni w Egipcie poumierali, ten zgodził się wreszcie na wypuszczenie ludu z niewoli. Ale zaraz pożałował tego kroku i z całym wojskiem puścił się w pogoń za Mojżeszem i jego ludem, znajdując przez to śmierć w morskich falach. Także i pyszny Saul (zob. 1 Sm 18, 7-8) z zazdrości tylko prześladował Dawida. (Bo trzeba wiedzieć, że pycha i zawiść idą ze sobą w parze.) Za karę stracił życie – dręczony przez złego ducha, targnął się na samego siebie.
Widzicie, bracia, jak bardzo trzeba się bać tego grzechu, z którego tak trudno się podnieść. A wtedy – do jakich środków trzeba się uciec? Przede wszystkim trzeba się przyznać do winy. Niestety, ludzie bardzo często nie znają własnej duszy, nie widzą nawet czwartej części swoich grzechów. Tym bardziej nie dostrzegają w sobie zazdrości, którą uważają, co najwyżej, za lekkie uchybienie przeciw miłości. Prośmy więc Ducha Świętego, żeby udzielił nam światła do poznania samych siebie. Trwajcie w pokorze serca, która jest bardzo ważnym środkiem do poznania siebie. Jak pycha zaślepia, tak pokora rozświetla tajniki duszy. Św. Augustyn bardzo się bał grzesznej niewiedzy i często modlił się do Boga: Niech poznam siebie, bym się znienawidził. – Noverim me, oderim me. Ach, ile osób, nawet pobożnych, ulega tej namiętności i nie chce się do niej przyznać!
Gdybym zapytał jakieś dziecko, które uczy się już katechizmu, jaka cnota przeciwna jest do zazdrości, odpowiedziałoby mi: „Miłość bliźniego i hojność względem ubogich”. Jak szczęśliwi byliby ludzie, gdyby się po chrześcijańsku kochali! Cieszyliby się szczęściem i powodzeniem bliźniego, a martwiliby się z powodu klęsk i nieszczęść, jakie go spotykają; dziękowaliby Bogu, że błogosławi ich sąsiadowi. Tak postępowali Święci.
W każdym dniu nowenny zatrzymaj się nad tekstem rozważań przez chwilę (ok. 10-15 min) i proś Ducha Świętego, by pomógł Ci zrozumieć te słowa; zobacz, które słowo szczególnie Cię poruszyło, które dotyka Twojego życia; zastanów się co ono dla Ciebie znaczy; im głębiej wejdziesz w te rozważania tym więcej łask spłynie na Ciebie i innych, pamiętaj byś w tym rozważaniu starał się być sam z Panem Bogiem…
Na koniec podziękuj Panu za to, co Ci dziś pokazał, o Tobie…

Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, You chose Your priests and religious from among us and sent them to preach Your Word and act in Your Holy Name. For such a great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving.
We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their service may reveal Your presence in the Church. Because they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power will penetrate their weaknesses. Do not let them be crushed in their afflictions. Make them never give in to despair in doubts, never give in to temptations, and never feel abandoned in times of persecution. Inspire them in prayer so that they may live the mystery of Your death and resurrection every day. In moments of weakness, send them Your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the power of the Holy Spirit, put Your word on their lips and pour Your love into their hearts so that they can bring the Good News to the poor and healing to the depressed and desperate. May the gift of Mary, Your Mother, to Your disciple whom You loved, be a gift to everyone called to Your service. Grant that She who formed You in Her human image, form them in Your divine likeness, by the power of Your Spirit and to the glory of God the Father.

CONSIDERATION – What can I do to get rid of the sin of jealousy?
When jealousy blinds you, remove it from your heart, and you will like your adversary and live with him as you do with other people.
Pharaoh can be used as an example of hatred and jealousy. He did not like the fact that God blessed the people of Israel, so he burdened the Jews with work. God wanted to crush the blind and hardened Pharaoh through extraordinary signs and wonders. When all the firstborn in Egypt had finally died, Egypt finally agreed to release the people from slavery. But he immediately regretted this step, and with the whole army he set off in pursuit of Moses and his people, thus finding death in the waves of the sea. And the proud Saul (see 1 Sam 18:7-8) only persecuted David out of jealousy. (Because it is important to know that pride and envy go hand in hand.) As a punishment, he lost his life – tormented by an evil spirit, he attacked himself.
You see, brethren, how much we must be afraid of this sin from which it is so difficult to recover. And then – what means should we resort to? First of all, you have to admit your guilt. Unfortunately, people very often do not know their own souls, they do not even see a quarter of their sins. Still less do they see jealousy in themselves, which they consider, at most, as a slight offense against love. Let us therefore ask the Holy Spirit to give us light to know ourselves. Remain in humility of heart, which is a very important means to get to know yourselves. As pride blinds, so humility illuminates the secrets of the soul. St. Augustine was very afraid of sinful ignorance and often prayed to God: Let me know myself, that I may hate myself. Oh, how many people, even pious ones, succumb to this passion and refuse to admit it!
If I were to ask a child who is already learning the catechism what virtue is contrary to jealousy, he would answer me: „Love of neighbor and generosity towards the poor.” How happy people would be if they loved each other in a Christian way! They would rejoice in the happiness and prosperity of their neighbor, and would be distressed by the calamities and misfortunes that befall him; they would thank God for blessing their neighbor. This is what the Saints did.
On each day of the novena, reflect on the text of the meditations for a moment (about 10-15 minutes) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand these words; see which word particularly touched you, which touches your life; think about what it means to you; the deeper you go into these reflections, the more graces will come to you and others, remember to try to be alone with God in this reflection…,
Finally, thank the Lord for what He has shown you today, about you…

Prière d’ouverture
Seigneur Jésus, Tu as choisi parmi nous Tes prêtres et Tes religieux et Tu les as envoyés pour proclamer Ta Parole et agir en Ton Saint Nom. Pour un si grand cadeau à ton Église, accepte notre louange et notre action de grâces.
Nous Te demandons de les remplir du feu de Ton amour, afin que leur ministère puisse manifester Ta présence dans l’Église. Parce qu’ils sont des vases d’argile, nous prions pour que Ta puissance pénètre leurs faiblesses. Ne permets pas qu’ils soient écrasés dans leurs afflictions. Accorde que, dans le doute, ils ne cèdent jamais au désespoir, ne cèdent jamais aux tentations, afin qu’ils ne se sentent pas abandonnés dans la persécution. Inspire-les dans la prière à vivre quotidiennement le mystère de ta mort et de ta résurrection. Dans les moments de faiblesse, envoie-leur ton Esprit. Aide-les à louer ton Père céleste et à prier pour les pauvres pécheurs. Par la puissance de l’Esprit Saint, mets ta parole sur leurs lèvres et déverse ton amour dans leurs cœurs, afin qu’ils puissent apporter la Bonne Nouvelle aux pauvres et la guérison aux déprimés et aux désespérés. Que le don de Marie, ta Mère, à ton disciple que tu aimais soit un don pour tous ceux qui sont appelés à ton service. Fais que celle qui t’a formé à son image humaine les forme à ta ressemblance divine, par la puissance de ton Esprit et à la gloire de Dieu le Père.

CONSIDÉRER – Que puis-je faire pour me débarrasser du péché de jalousie ?
Quand la jalousie t’aveugle, ôte-la de ton cœur, et tu aimeras ton adversaire et tu vivras avec lui comme tu le fais avec les autres.
Pharaon peut être utilisé comme exemple de haine et de jalousie. Il n’aimait pas le fait que Dieu bénisse le peuple d’Israël, alors il a chargé les Juifs de travail. Dieu a voulu écraser l’aveugle et il a endurci Pharaon par des signes et des prodiges extraordinaires. Lorsque tous les premiers-nés d’Égypte furent morts, l’Égypte accepta finalement de libérer le peuple de l’esclavage. Mais il regretta immédiatement cette démarche et, avec toute l’armée, il se mit à la poursuite de Moïse et de son peuple, trouvant ainsi la mort dans les flots de la mer. Et l’orgueilleux Saül (voir 1 Sam 18:7-8) n’a persécuté David que par jalousie. (Parce qu’il est important de savoir que l’orgueil et l’envie vont de pair.) En guise de punition, il a perdu la vie – tourmenté par un esprit maléfique, il s’est attaqué lui-même.
Vous voyez, frères, combien nous devons avoir peur de ce péché dont il est si difficile de se remettre. Et ensuite, à quels moyens devrions-nous recourir ? Tout d’abord, vous devez admettre votre culpabilité. Malheureusement, très souvent, les gens ne connaissent pas leur propre âme, ils ne voient même pas un quart de leurs péchés. Ils voient encore moins en eux-mêmes la jalousie, qu’ils considèrent tout au plus comme une légère offense à l’amour. Demandons donc à l’Esprit Saint de nous donner la lumière pour nous connaître nous-mêmes. Restez dans l’humilité du cœur, qui est un moyen très important pour apprendre à vous connaître. Comme l’orgueil aveugle, ainsi l’humilité illumine les secrets de l’âme. Saint Augustin avait très peur de l’ignorance pécheresse et priait souvent Dieu : Fais-moi me connaître, afin que je me haïsse. Oh, combien de personnes, même pieuses, succombent à cette passion et ne veulent pas l’admettre !
Si je demandais à un enfant qui apprend déjà le catéchisme quelle vertu est contraire à la jalousie, il me répondrait : « L’amour du prochain et la générosité envers les pauvres. » Comme les gens seraient heureux s’ils s’aimaient les uns les autres d’une manière chrétienne ! Ils se réjouiraient du bonheur et de la prospérité de leur prochain, et seraient affligés par les calamités et les malheurs qui lui arrivent ; ils remercieraient Dieu d’avoir béni leur prochain. C’est ce que les saints ont fait.
Chaque jour de la neuvaine, réfléchissez un instant au texte des méditations (environ 10 à 15 minutes) et demandez à l’Esprit Saint de vous aider à comprendre ces paroles ; voyez quel mot vous a particulièrement touché, quel est celui qui touche votre vie ; pensez à ce que cela signifie pour vous ; plus vous approfondissez ces réflexions, plus les grâces couleront sur vous et sur les autres, rappelez-vous d’essayer d’être seul avec Dieu dans cette réflexion…
Enfin, remerciez le Seigneur pour ce qu’Il vous a montré aujourd’hui, à votre sujet…
Prière de conclusion
Gloire au Père, au Fils et au Saint-Esprit, comme il était au commencement, maintenant et toujours, et pour toujours et à jamais. Amen
