Panie Jezu, Ty wybrałeś Twoich kapłanów i osoby zakonne spośród nas i wysłałeś ich, aby głosili Twoje Słowo i działali w Twoje Święte Imię. Za tak wielki dar dla Twego Kościoła przyjmij nasze uwielbienie i dziękczynienie. Prosimy Cię, abyś napełnił ich ogniem Twojej miłości, aby ich służba ujawniała Twoją obecność w Kościele. Ponieważ są naczyniami z gliny, modlimy się, aby Twoja moc przenikała ich słabości. Nie pozwól, by w swych utrapieniach zostali zmiażdżeni. Spraw, by w wątpliwościach nigdy nie poddawali się rozpaczy, nie ulegali pokusom, by w prześladowaniach nie czuli się opuszczeni. Natchnij ich w modlitwie, aby codziennie żyli tajemnicą Twojej śmierci i zmartwychwstania. W chwilach słabości poślij im Twojego Ducha. Pomóż im, wychwalać Twojego Ojca Niebieskiego i modlić się za biednych grzeszników. Mocą Ducha Świętego włóż Twoje słowo na ich usta i wlej swoją miłość w ich serca, aby nieśli Dobrą Nowinę ubogim, a przygnębionym i zrozpaczonym – uzdrowienie. Niech dar Maryi, Twojej Matki, dla Twojego ucznia, którego umiłowałeś, będzie darem dla każdego powołanego do Twojej służby. Spraw, aby Ta, która uformowała Ciebie na swój ludzki wizerunek, uformowała ich na Twoje boskie podobieństwo, mocą Twojego Ducha i na chwałę Boga Ojca.

ROZWAŻANIE – Jak wielu ludzi pochłonął ogień piekielny przez grzech nieczystości?
„Weźmy do ręki Pismo Święte, a zobaczymy, jak surowo ściga Bóg ludzi nieczystych już od początku świata. Popatrzcie, jak ludzie już przed potopem oddają się temu potwornemu nierządowi. Miłosierny Bóg nie może znieść tego widoku – żałuje, że stworzył człowieka i postanawia go surowo ukarać. Otwierają się więc niebieskie katarakty, wody potopu zalewają cały świat i oczyszczają zbrukaną ziemię (por. Rdz 6). Idźmy dalej. Mieszkańcy Sodomy i Gomory oraz sąsiednich miast oddają się obrzydliwym występkom. Bóg, uniesiony słusznym gniewem, spuszcza na te przeklęte miejsca deszcz ognia i spala wszystkie żyjące tam istoty. Ogień i siarka zabiły wszystko: ludzi, zwierzęta, drzewa, nawet ziemia i kamienie stały się ofiarą gniewu Bożego. Tam, gdzie przedtem były urodzajne pola i piękne skaliste wzgórza, tam teraz oglądamy Morze Martwe, w którym nie może przeżyć nawet żadna ryba (… ) W jeszcze innym miejscu czytamy, że Pan Bóg rozkazał ukarać śmiercią dwadzieścia cztery tysiące ludzi za to, że oddawali się rozpuście (Lb 25, 9).
Śmiało możemy powiedzieć, że ten przeklęty grzech prawie zawsze był przyczyną wszystkich nieszczęść ludu wybranego. Popatrzcie na Dawida, na Salomona czy na inne postacie biblijne. Co było powodem chłosty, jaka spadła na nich i na ich poddanych – czy nie ten przeklęty występek? Mój Boże, ile dusz odbiera Ci ten grzech! A ile ofiar przynosi piekłu!
W Nowym Testamencie kary za rozpustę też nie są mniejsze. Św. Jan w Apokalipsie widzi grzech nieczysty przedstawiony pod postacią niewiasty „I ujrzałem Niewiastę siedzącą na Bestii szkarłatnej, pełnej imion bluźnierczych, mającej siedem głów i dziesięć rogów”(Ap 17, 3). (…)
Zobaczycie na własne oczy, , że człowiek, idąc za pożądliwością ciała łamie wszystkie przykazania i staje się winny wszystkich grzechów głównych. () Dodam tylko, że żaden inny grzech nie bywa powodem tylu świętokradztw. Wielu ludzi tego nie dostrzega; (…). Dopiero na Sądzie Ostatecznym zobaczymy, ilu ludzi nieczystość wtrąciła w wieczne potępienie. Tak, bracia, ten grzech jest wyjątkowo obrzydliwy i dlatego ludzie popełniają go w tajemnicy. Chcą go ukryć nawet we własnych oczach, bo dobrze wiedzą, jak bardzo ich on upadla”.

W każdym dniu nowenny zatrzymaj się nad tekstem rozważań przez chwilę (ok. 10-15 min) i proś Ducha Świętego, by pomógł Ci zrozumieć te słowa; zobacz, które słowo szczególnie Cię poruszyło, które dotyka Twojego życia; zastanów się co ono dla Ciebie znaczy; im głębiej wejdziesz w te rozważania tym więcej łask spłynie na Ciebie i innych, pamiętaj byś w tym rozważaniu starał się być sam z Panem Bogiem…
Na koniec podziękuj Panu za to, co Ci dziś pokazał, o Tobie…

DAY TWO
Impurity
Opening Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You have chosen Your priests and religious from among us and sent them to preach Your Word and to act in Your Holy Name. For such a great gift to Your Church, accept our praise and thanksgiving. We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, so that their service may reveal Your presence in the Church. Since they are vessels of clay, we pray that Your power may penetrate their weaknesses. Do not allow them to be crushed in their afflictions. Make it so that in doubt they never give in to despair, do not succumb to temptations, do not feel abandoned in persecutions. Inspire them in prayer, so that they may live daily the mystery of Your death and resurrection. In moments of weakness, send them Your Spirit. Help them to praise Your Heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the power of the Holy Spirit, place your word on their lips and pour your love into their hearts, so that they may bring the Good News to the poor and healing to the downcast and desperate. May the gift of Mary, your Mother, to your beloved disciple, be a gift to everyone called to your service. Grant that she who formed you in her human image may form them in your divine likeness, by the power of your Spirit and for the glory of God the Father.
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom, guide priests and religious;

Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, make it so that priests, especially animated and strengthened by Your grace, may carry the word of truth and the blessing of peace to the whole world.
May the fire of holy love ignite their hearts, so that in the flames of this love they may purify and sanctify their souls.

MEDITATION
How many people have been consumed by hellfire because of the sin of impurity?
„Let us take the Holy Scripture in our hands and we shall see how severely God has pursued impure people since the beginning of the world. Look how people, even before the flood, indulged in this monstrous fornication. The merciful God cannot bear this sight – he regrets having created man and decides to punish him severely. So the heavenly cataracts open, the waters of the flood flood the whole world and cleanse the defiled earth (cf. Gen 6). Let us go further. The inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring cities indulge in disgusting crimes. God, moved by righteous anger, rains fire on these cursed places and burns all living creatures there. Fire and brimstone killed everything: people, animals, trees; even the earth and stones became victims of God’s anger. Where before there were fertile fields and beautiful rocky hills, we now see the Dead Sea, in which not even a single fish can survive (…) In yet another place we read that the Lord God ordered twenty-four thousand people to be put to death because they had given themselves up to immorality (Num 25:9).
We can boldly say that this cursed sin has almost always been the cause of all the misfortunes of the chosen people. Look at David, at Solomon, or at other biblical figures. What was the reason for the scourging that fell upon them and their subjects – was it not this cursed crime? My God, how many souls does this sin take from You! And how many victims does it bring to hell!
In the New Testament, the punishments for fornication are no less severe. In the Apocalypse, St. John sees impure sin represented in the form of a woman: “And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns” (Rev 17:3). (…)
You will see with your own eyes that man, following the lust of the flesh, breaks all the commandments and becomes guilty of all the capital sins. () I will only add that no other sin is the cause of so many sacrileges. Many people do not notice this; (…). Only at the Last Judgement will we see how many people impurity has thrown into eternal damnation. Yes, brothers, this sin is exceptionally abominable and that is why people commit it in secret. They want to hide it even from their own eyes, because they know well how much it degrades them.”
On each day of the novena, stop over the text of the meditations for a moment (approx. 10-15 minutes) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand these words. See which word has particularly moved you, which one touches your life. Think about what it means to you. The deeper you go into these meditations, the more graces will flow to you and others. Remember to try to be alone with the Lord God during this meditation. Finally, thank the Lord for what He has shown you today.
